An A-line indigo cotton kurta made in panels: a centre panel printed in a stepped zigzag of indigo and off-white runs from neck to hem between plain indigo sides, with triangle-printed bands at the shoulders and on the three-quarter sleeves, and the back is plain indigo. White kantha, a running-stitch embroidery, lines the seams, the printed pocket edges and the sleeve bands, with small sequins scattered along them and over the print. The round neck has a short slit edged with tiny white beads, with a hanging of white beads and cowrie shells below it. It falls to the calf with a straight hem, has two pockets and is unlined; it slips on, with no fastenings. It comes with straight indigo cotton pants with an elasticated waist and a 2.5 m indigo kota doria dupatta with printed bands and edges. Regular fit. Wash separately in cold water, without scrubbing or bleach. Made for everyday wear, work and casual get-togethers.
