A brick red cotton kurta cut in panels, with narrow cream and maroon striped piping down the panel seams beside lines of fine running stitch, and a round neck with a small notch at the front. The three-quarter sleeves end in cuffs worked with rows of running stitch in yellow, grey and white and dotted with small pearly sequins. It falls to the calf with a straight hem and side slits, slips on and is unlined. It comes with plain cotton pants on a drawstring that end at the ankle in sheer striped bands, and a kota cotton dupatta, 2.5 m by 0.91 m, in the same red with wide bands of cream and maroon stripes and small tassels at the corners. Straight fit. Dry clean only. Easy to dress up or down, for workdays, family dinners and small celebrations.
