A straight lime yellow kurta in chanderi silk, a silk and cotton blend, worked in pale gold gota patti: metallic ribbon cut and stitched onto the cloth. A band of gota leaves edges the round neck, a gota border finishes the three-quarter sleeves, and pineapple motifs are scattered over the front, with one more at the upper back. It falls to the calf with a straight hem and is lined; it slips on, with no fastenings. It comes with a softly pleated cotton salwar that tapers to a striped cuff at the ankle, and a sheer kota doria dupatta with fine metallic stripes, a gota edging, striped ends and tassels. Dry clean only. Bright and festive for haldi and mehndi functions, pujas and daytime celebrations.
